    The weekly watercolor painting classes are conducted in a friendly, low-key environment for both professional and non-professional artists of all levels. For the beginning student, it is a comprehensive program in the basics of drawing and painting fundamentals. As the student advances, the traditional concepts of composition, color, and technique are introduced. Instruction includes frequent instructor demonstration and personal attention.

Subject matter includes landscape, still life, and portraits. During the warmer months, classes often include sessions outdoors.

Good paintings need good planning and a step-by-step approach. Succeed in developing luminous landscapes through simple classical concepts like using photographic reference, balancing shapes andl forms, developing a center of interest, using light and shadow, planning for local and reflected color and learning brush techniques.
