(be sure they are watercolor brushes- not oil paint brushes, which have

Palette-
Any
plastic palette with a cover and a large, unsectioned mixing area.
Recommended- John Pike Palette (regular or Big Well)
Paints-
Tube transparent watercolors are
recommended. However cake watercolors are okay if you prefer. Student grade
watercolors recommended are
Van Gogh or Winsor-Newton
Cotman- brand names can be mixed.

Stretching
Watercolor Paper:
Submerge
watercolor paper in water until thoroughly soaked (approx 5 min). Remove from
water and place on “Gatorboard”. Blot up excess water with paper towel.
Staple edges of paper every 2-3 inches apart. Allow to dry (approx 10 min).
